The purpose of the category Inventory Discussion is to determine if the call is an opportunity to sell, buy, or lease a vehicle. The caller does not have to mention a particular make or model. The caller just has to show interest in a vehicle in the dealer's inventory or present an opportunity for the dealer to buy or trade the caller's vehicle.



Here are the options:

Yes

  • Select this option if there was inventory discussed.
  • Select this option if the caller and agent discuss payment or financing options for a potential purchase of the dealership's inventory. A specific make or model of a vehicle does not have to be mentioned.
  • Select this option if the caller is interested in a lease buyout.
  • Select this option if the caller is asking about a vehicle they saw online or in an advertisement.
  • Select this option if the caller asks about a car they recently test drove.
  • Select this option if the caller has a vehicle they would like to sell or trade to the dealership.
  • Select this option if the caller is inquiring about leasing a vehicle.
  • Select this option if the caller is interested in a car, even if the car is not available at this time.

Not Inventory: service or parts

  • Select this option if the caller is inquiring about service for their vehicle or to discuss a vehicle that is already being serviced at the dealership.
  • Select this option if the caller is calling for the body shop.
  • Select this option if the caller is asking about information or the price of parts.

Not inventory: general conversation or dealer trade

  • Select this option if ONLY financing was discussed, and there was no interest in purchasing a new or used vehicle from this dealer.
  • Select this option if the caller is interested in refinancing a car that was already purchased.
  • Select this option if the caller is ONLY interested in discussing payments of a currently owned vehicle.
  • Select this option if it is clear the caller is not interested in buying or selling a vehicle.
  • Select this option if the caller ONLY asks about renting a vehicle.
  • Select this option if the caller is ONLY asking about a warranty, tags, or plates.
  • Select this option if the caller has a general question unrelated to inventory.
  • Select this option if the caller ONLY asks about hours of operation.
  • Select this option if this call is in regards to a dealer trade. A dealer trade is when a dealer will exchange one of his cars with another dealer to meet a customer's likes or requirements in color, equipment or model.

Caller never connected to a live, qualified agent

  • Select this option if the call never connected to the intended person, and was not handled by another qualified agent.
  • Select this option if the call reached voicemail.
  • Select this option if the caller was left on hold.
  • Select this option if the call connection is lost and no contact information was first shared.
  • Select this option if the caller leaves a live message because they did not connect to the intended person or a qualified agent.
